Ravello market stall

An Italian omnivorous takeaway near Old Street

  • Guy who runs it knows what vegan means, kinda
  • Really friendly service
  • Reasonable portions
  • Boxers are keen to add parmesan; keep your wits about you
  • Away during August

This Italian stall, part of the Whitecross Street food market, is run by a group of friendly Sicilians. Every week day they’re present, serving large takeaway portions of pasta & lasagne to the market visitors.

They don’t have a lot of choices, but they almost always have a pasta arrabiata that’s made with wheat pasta. They sometimes have lentils and green vegetables that are cooked with vegetable oil, too. I don’t think you’ll be visiting every day, but it’s a good choice if you want a filling hot meal.

About Nopudding London

Nopudding London was built entirely by Alex Pounds. It's designed as a more geography-centric guide of places to eat. Most veggie listings start with a table of text, but I'm normally trying to answer the question "Where can I get a good meal near _____?". Textual listings aren't very good at that.

I am available for hire, and you should follow me on Twitter.

Why only London?

I'm only adding places I've visited, as I'm more interested in making personal recommendations than being comprehensive. There are some other places elsewhere in the world, too, if you go looking for them...
